HAMILTON ISLAND AIRPORT VIEWING SPOTS.

1. Flying Fox Lookout

This spot is best for aircraft arriving on runway 32 and arriving/departing off runway 14. On your way up to the Lookout there is a dirt track you have to drive along if you stop off along that you can get great photos of aircraft arriving on runway 14. Require 300mm or above as this is highly elevated.

Best time to shoot - Before 12pm

How to get there - From the main airport terminal drive up the hill at the roundabout turn right and go along for approx. 300m on your left handside you will see a dirt track and a sign to the Lookout.

Golf Buggies are the only form of transport on the island. They are great for spotting in with the shade being provided from the roof.
